My aunt was now 6 months pregnant with John. đ Just a few months prior, Gabriel had been sent to inform uncle Zacharias of this good news that he had been praying for. Being very old of age, uncle Zacharias and aunt Elizabeth were filled with joy that they would be welcoming their first child into the world soon⊠đ
As the angel, Gabriel, had been sent to uncle Zacharias bearing a good news previously, the time had come for him to visit My mother, bearing the good news of all good news! Talking about My mother, have you heard of King David before? He was the previous king of Israel, around a thousand years prior. He was the king that was called âa man after Godâs own heartâ. Sounds familiar? If no, how about the young David that had killed the giant Goliath? Maybe that rings a bell? You might be asking, âSo, whatâs up with King David?â Well, among many of his descendants down through the years, there was this nice guy named Joseph. At this very time, My mother was engaged to be married to him, My future earthly father. đ
Now, back to Gabrielâs visit. Having entered the house, Gabriel said to My mother, âRejoice, highly favoured one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!â
Confused and disturbed, mother tried to think what he could mean. Then Gabriel said to her, âDo not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.â
Then mother said to Gabriel, âHow can this be, since I have never been intimate with a man?â The angel answered and said to mother, âThe Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God, nothing will be impossible.â
Indeed, NOTHING will be impossible! In case you havenât noticed, aunt Elizabeth was barren, yet uncle Zacharias and she were having John. My mother was a virgin, yet she would conceive Me!
Lastly, mother said to Gabriel, âBehold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.â After that, Gabriel departed from her… What an exciting experience and encounter that was for mother! đ
And that wraps up the stories of Gabrielâs visitations. I hope youâve enjoyed the stories. đ
As a parting word⊠Remember, My children; with Me, NOTHING is impossible!
