Easter Special 04 - How I Love You So.

I had just started My journey. A journey from Jerusalem to Golgotha, or some would call the place Calvary, ‘the Place of a Skull’.

I was led as a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so I opened not My mouth. Had someone shouted in the streets, “The Messiah would be crucified on the cross this day, as an exchange for all mankind, to restore the broken relationship between God and man.”, I wonder if anyone would’ve believed it?

Let Me say this, “I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.” You are My sheep, precious ones… For your transgressions, I was struck. For your sins, I was bruised.

At Golgotha, I was nailed onto the Cross and lifted up. As prophesied by the prophet Isaiah long ago, “The people has made My grave with the wicked, but with the rich at My death.” Has anyone ever wondered what Isaiah meant by this? Let Me explain. On that day at Golgotha, there were two thieves that were crucified together with Me (one on My right and one on My left). Later in the same day, I was buried in a rich man’s tomb, which I rose out of three days later. You may ask, “Rose out of? Seriously?!” Now, that’s another event altogether, one which I will tell of in another time to come…

For the time being, allow Me to continue on with My account of this event…

On the cross, My blood flowed from My body. It was for you; cleansing you anew so that you may now come back into a relationship with your Father in Heaven, the Creator of heaven and earth.

On the cross, I took upon Me ALL the punishments, diseases and curses of all humankind; Past, Present and Future. You name it; cancers, tumours, deformities, pimples, blindness, mutations, flu, barrenness, chemical imbalances, stomach bugs, … ALL … ALL were imputed unto Me. So much so that My face was so disfigured that I seemed hardly human; and from My appearance, one would scarcely know that I was a man! All these so that you may now be in health, physically and mentally; not having to worry about these infirmities any longer.

All these that I had done, I gladly did for you. For the joy that was set before Me, the joy of seeing you coming back into a relationship with God, I endured the cross…
