Christmas Special 02 - My Father's Dreams.

Have I told you the story about My father? That is, My earthly father, Joseph?

Today, I would like to tell you about the four dreams that he had. Very interesting dreams indeed. 🙂

The first dream came about after My mother, Mary, was found to be pregnant with a child. Mind you, she was already betrothed to My father at that time, but they were not yet physically intimate. And of course, the punishment back then for a lady who was found to be pregnant, but not of her husband, was… death. My father, not wanting to disgrace My mother, planned to have her sent away secretly. But while he was thinking on these things, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Guess what did My father, Joseph do after he had awoken from his sleep? He obeyed.

The second dream took place quite a while later. At this moment, the wise men or magi from the East had just presented unto Me gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. After they had departed, the angel of the Lord appeared unto My father, Joseph, in a dream again, saying “Get up! Take the Child and His mother and flee to Egypt. And remain there until I tell you; for Herod is going to search for the Child to destroy Him.”

Guess what did My father, Joseph do after he had awoken from his sleep? He obeyed.

As the story goes, Herod later slew all the male children who were in Bethlehem and all its vicinity, from two years old and under, in order to try and destroy Me.

The third dream occurred not too long after that. Herod was now dead, and we were still in Egypt. An angel of the Lord appeared in a dream unto My father, saying “Get up, take the Child and His mother, and go into the land of Israel; for those who sought the Child’s life are dead.”

Guess what did My father, Joseph do after he had awoken from his sleep? He obeyed.

We were now back in Israel, but which part of the land shall we dwell in? What do you think? Shall we live in Jerusalem? In Bethlehem? How about somewhere near the Jordan river? Perhaps in Bethany? That was a decision that My parents would have had to make. Now, it was at around this time that My father had his fourth dream. 🙂

Guess what did My father, Joseph do after he had awoken from his sleep? He obeyed.

Having being warned by God in his fourth dream, My father turned aside into the region of Galilee. And off we went and dwelt in a city in Galilee, called Nazareth.

What an adventure, if I may say so, that My father’s has had with all of those dreams! And that, My beloved, brings the story of My father, Joseph’s dreams to a close. 🙂
