Awesome! It was nice to see the centurion’s servant well again. I had not found such great faith as the centurion had, not even in Israel!
That was yesterday, by the way, at Capernaum… Today, we were going into Nain. It wasn’t too far off from Capernaum. A full day’s walk for some, or a couple of days’ walk for others.
There it was, Nain. Many of My disciples were with Me. A large crowd was with Me too. As we were approaching the city’s gate, we noticed something…
Behold, a dead man was being carried out of the city. He was the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. A large crowd from Nain was with her. It was a solemn occasion indeed. And I could see that it was extremely tough for her.
I approached the mother and said to her, “Do not weep.” Then I went to the son and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still… What do you think were on the minds of the people around Me, and also the large crowd that was with Me and with the mother?
I said to the son, “Young man, I say to you, arise.”
What do you think happened next?…
The son who was dead sat up. Not only that, he began to speak. I then presented him to his mother.
Awesome! It was nice to see the son alive again…
