IHS 05 - The Word Before The Bounty.

I was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret. Beautiful day, no rain…

As I panned my eyes around, I could see that a multitude had built up by the lake, pressing to hear the word of God. I could also see two boats nearby. But the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. One group was eager to hear the Word and the other was getting on with their daily routines, doing what they had to do as fishermen.

I got into one of the boats, which belonged to Simon and asked him to put out a little from the land. I sat down and proceeded to teach the multitudes from the boat.

When I had stopped teaching, I said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” Simon answered, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” Good on you, Simon, for taking My word into consideration and being obedient to My word.

Not long after, their net was starting to break as there was a great haul of fish. After being signalled, their partners, the sons of Zebedee (James and John), came in the other boat and their boat was also filled with fish. Great was the haul that both of the boats were beginning to sink!

When Peter saw this, he fell down at My knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!” I could see that they all were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken in. I said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.” When we had reached land, they forsook all and followed Me.

Remember, My children; the Word first, then the bounty will follow. The Word first…
